Three of the UK’s most outstanding Spanish Guitarists; Roland Chadwick, Vincent Lindsey-Clark and Roland Gallery joined forces in 2001 to form the Modern Guitar Trio. Six years later and with an impressive number of live performances under their belts as well as a massively acclaimed CD, featuring works penned by members of the trio - Roland Chadwick’s beautiful and highly emotive The Wendy House, Vincent Lindsay-Clarks epic Sonata Melodica, and Roland Gallery’s wonderfully melodic 2 Fusion Pieces. There are quite a few guitar ensembles that have a resident composer but to have all three of us being composers struck us as being something truly special. Tonight they perform their own compositions as well as showcasing some of the finest classical guitar pieces and arrangements. The trio’s talents for playing is truly remarkable – furious and fast fingerwork creating sounds one usually expects from a full orchestra. Simply amazing and the promise of an evening of sheer magic. Book now.

Bella Hardy & Chris Sherburn

The release of Bella Hardy’s 2007 debut solo album ‘Night Visiting’ marked the arrival of a major new talent in the world of British folk. An acclaimed singer; her voice has been marked as ‘mesmerising’ and ‘faultless’. In addition to her unaccompanied ballads, Bella entwines her hypnotic voice with her own fiddle accompaniment to amazing effect. She is accompanied for tonight’s gig by concertina player Chris Sherburn from Anglo-Irish band Last Night’s Fun. Having spent the last 10 years refining her craft with bands such as folk supergroup 'The Pack' and York trio 'Ola', Bella now strikes out on her own to deliver unique interpretations of traditional classics alongside self-penned songs. Each captivating performance takes a journey through tales of love lost and found, of drownings, hangings, shootings and burnings, of crime and punishment and cruel parents; a journey of tales perfectly told. One of biggest pieces of good news from the emerging folk-roots stable. Make sure you catch her at Prema this summer.

Broadcaster and record company boss Charlie Gillett has been in the business long enough to recognise talent when he hears it. But even he was beguiled by the music of Colombian singer Carolina Herrera. Carolina (now a qualified doctor) was busking in an underground station to help pay her way through the final two years of medical school when Charlie happened to walk by. A few days later Carolina appeeared on Charlie’s BBC Radio London show and from the moment she sang the telephone switchboard lit-up. Over the next 2 years Carolina, and her acoustic guitar, has been heard all over the UK and Ireland as she balanced her studies with the growing demands of promoters. Tonight she takes us on a musical journey around South America with traditional and contemporary songs from many different countries sung in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Carolina’s stunning voice is matched by her beauty and natural communication with the audience. A welcome return to Prema for Carolina Hererra. In fact, just what the Doctor ordered!

In 1985 Boo formed cult band "The Bible" before choosing to pursue a solo career. Boo's albums have gained a 4 star praise worthy review from Q magazine and Mojo. One of his most enduring collaborations has been with Scottish songstress Eddi Reader (for whom he wrote "Patience of Angels") and was credited with an Ivor Novello nomination. Boo is a tireless traveller both in the UK and beyond, performing from all size stages – from village halls through to massive festivals. Boo's quiet, outward personality is the perfect front for a man who can deliver tender heart-wrenching beautiful lyrics one moment and then the next gives us a foot tapping up beat number. Boo is the consummate songwriter. He’s an accomplished singer and performer for whom the term “singer-songwriter” just doesn’t do justice. Boo reflects “At my gigs people seem to cry a lot; not necessarily cos they’re miserable. Maybe it touches them. With songs, the subject matter’s not the most important thing – I just like to pinpoint somethingYou don’t have to be specific or breast-beating or anything like that. They know what I’m talking about. I sometimes try to write a song about ridiculous things because I don’t think the subject matter is as important as the feeling. When it’s right, there’s a sense of something”. Tonight’s gig from Boo will be terrifically popular so book good and early to secure your seat.
