Make and create with you little one. Take this great opportunity to spend time with your child exploiting and developing their dexterity and natural creativity. Tutor Sandra Vonk leads you in this fabulous course that explores lots of fun themes, projects and activities to inspire you both. Get ideas for stuff you can do at home as well as having a go at something different in this stimulating, friendly and safe environment where you don’t have to worry about making a mess. Enjoy a cup of tea and meet other likeminded people whilst painting, printing, collaging, junk modelling and much, much more.

Hands On Art

A whistle-stop tour for young artists everywhere. Learn new skills and develop established ones whilst having fun experimenting with new and exciting materials. Join Lavinia Field as she leads you through an array of projects and themes. If you like sculpture you will enjoy the Mask making using self hardening clay and the model making using wire and Modroc plaster bandaging. Alternatively if you prefer 2D art you will enjoy the crazy self-portraits using photographs and painting not to mention the printmaking that looks at Prema’s brilliant building. Come and join the fun and who knows where it will lead.

Gloucestershire Dance tutor Sarah Gardiner leads this fabulous course for all those who love to dance. Suitable for all abilities you will learn steps, sequences and moves that will be put together to form a great routine. Our Junior group takes things nice and slow whilst they find their natural rhythm whilst the Senior group encourages you to develop your skills and learn more about choreography, maybe even creating your own. Whether you are dancing to pre-selected music or constructing your own routine you are sure to be in good company with other young dancers of all abilities.

Discovering Illustration

A quick fire course that will develop your drawing skills in a rather different way. Learn arty ideas and techniques that will enhance your portfolio of skills. Discover some tricks of the trade in creating your own character and give it its own identity. With step-by-step guidance from illustrative artist Imogen Harvey-Lewis learn how to make your character strike a strong pose that really says something. Use careful pen and ink techniques, and a range of media to ‘set the scene’. Tell a tale using storyboards; learn how to capture movement and expression in a single pose and how to layer and combine words and pictures in a visual collage. Before you know it with this whistlestop tour you will be producing cartoons of your very own.
