Another fabulous season of Yoga, just how you like it. After her latest trip to India tutor Sarah Harlow is full of enthusiasm and ideas for these classes that cater for abilities. So whether you are into a more relaxing experience or require something more physically demanding then we have the course for you. Focus on meditation and relaxation with our beginners’ class or if you fancy stretching yourself a bit then come and join our Intermediate group. Sarah has been practising Yoga for over seven years and has developed her own accessible style of Yoga employing her background in Iyengar style as well as a flavour of the physically demanding Ashtanga and the spiritually inspiring Anusara styles.

That’s Life Drawing

This traditional art practice that develops the skills of artists of all abilities, whether they are observational or accurate measuring, proportion and scale, your drawing is bound to improve. Use the opportunity to try out a variety of media, whether it is charcoal, pencil, carbon or ink with artist Paul Fowler. He will help you to add shade and tone to your drawings giving them depth and realism as well as help you to create your own style of drawing. Whether you are a complete beginner with no idea of where to start or a tried and tested artist wanting the opportunity to practice your skills then this is the course for you. Price includes all paper and model fees, just bring your own drawing materials and away you go.

Sing Your Heart Out

Sing with confidence with this great short course that will truly raise the rafters. Singing tutor Liz Martin will be your guide and help you to discover your voice. Come and relax in an informal and relaxed group of like-minded individuals without the hassle of accompaniment, song sheets and written music. Learn music from around the globe, singing in rhythmic rounds and happy harmonies, you will even use your voice as percussion. Suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to rediscover their vocal skills. If you want to sing then come and join the fun.

Ballroom Basics

Come and trip the light fantastic with dance tutor Steve Holmes. Learn some of the old favourites step-by-step as well as some of the modern classics. Use this taster to brush up on you Waltz, sample some Samba and have a go at some Foxtrot, Quickstep, Cha Cha and Jive along the way. Learn the moves, turns, rhythms and steps and how to put them together to create a bit of elegance and a lot of fun. Dancers of all ages and abilities are welcome so come and join this relaxed group of like-minded people who no longer have two left feet. You will be dancing with confidence before you know it.

Pilates

Pilates is a gentle form of exercise that develops your core abdominal muscles and regulates your breathing, a great reintroduction to regular exercise. Tutor Nicolette Sevilla-Rebelderia will show you the way and before long you will see improvement in your posture, flexibility, co-ordination and balance, it can even help you manage an injury. If you are a complete beginner, unfamiliar with Pilates or need to take things slowly due to injury or agility issues then the beginners class is just for you. Alternatively take the Intermediate class if you are able to take the extra challenge. If you are in any doubt which class is for you, just ask. Please bring an exercise mat and wear loose comfortable clothing.

Pottery at Your Own Pace

Throw a pot, decorate a tile or mould an ornament, whatever takes your fancy on this amazing course for potters of all abilities. Create something unique that will last forever using this beautifully tactile art form. Literally get to grips with your work and see something emerge before your very eyes. Bring your own ideas or resident potter Geg Fayle can help you along teaching you basic building techniques which you can develop into all manner of paraphernalia. You could explore different surface textures or experiment with slips and glazes for some truly spectacular effects. Whether you work on a few large projects or have a go at lots of smaller items it’s entirely up to you. All materials are provided bring your imagination and we provide the rest!
